PHP MySQL

PHP/MySQL Applications

Recognising the importance of producing dynamic, database-driven websites, I have recently been devoting much of my free time to improving my PHP, MySQL, and AJAX skills. These websites do not have much by way of styling or design, but rather are intended to illustrate my back-end coding abilities.

Wordpress Theme 1

Wordpress Theme 1

This is a Wordpress theme that I recently finished developing. It is clean and uncluttered, and allowed me to experiment with Wordpress a bit more. I hope to develop another few WP themes, which I will release for public use.

My web design portfolio has undergone several face-lifts, but this is its latest. In line with other portfolio sites that I admire, I opted for a simple and elegant design with a personal touch. This is intended as a portfolio for potential employers, as opposed to clients. I wrote the jQuery script for the 'about' page, and also integrated the Wordpress blog theme into the main site.

LK Construction

LK Construction

LK Construction is a local construction company in South Dublin. They felt an online presence would enhance their business prospects and approached me to help them. This is a simple, static website intended to display a brief portfolio of previous work done by the company.

Our Lady of Victory FC

Our Lady of Victory FC

Our Lady of Victory required a website to replace their old Bebo page, so I offered to help. This was my first experimentation with Wordpress, so I didn't venture far beyond the default theme. I created the banner and logo based on a photograph of the club's crest.

La Momia

La Momia

As well as being my uncle, La Momia is a Spanish musician and entertainer based in Alicante. He requires a website to display media for his fans, and to showcase his talents for potential employers. This is currently a mockup but may be developed soon.

Discover Tallaght

Discover Tallaght

My local area is lacking a good website to encourage visitors, so I put together this mockup to practice/test my design abilities. I was unsure whether to go for a legitimate site or a parody, so I guess we'll discover which it is if I get around to developing it!

No Diving

No Diving

No Diving has been my pet project for the past couple of years. It was my first considerable online undertaking, and one which I learned alot from experimenting with. I designed the banner logo and added a Wordpress back-end to make updates easier. Unfortunately I let the domain expire, so it's not currently online, but you can view a mockup below.
